MJ…………the phenomenon……

World will remember June 25th, 2009 as the day which marked the end of phenomenon called Micheal Jackson. I remember him as a man whom I followed in my teens…..People who were in their teens back in nineties would endorse MJ as the coolest guy in the world.
DOORDARSHAN was the window to the world for all of us in those times .I remember Mr.Pranoy Roy hosting “The World This Week” on the channel. When MJ came up with the video of “Black & White”,it was specially aired in that program. This was the stature of the man called MJ...in those days.
I don’t want to think about all the allegations levied against him, as it’s not the time to enter into any insolent discussions. This is the time to pay homage to a musician…, a performer and great talent.
The BAD…INVICIBLE …….DANGEREOUS…..MJ.. ..spread..BLOOD ON THE DANCE FLOOR….and created

Singh & Cringe.....

It’s about 3 months since I wrote something here…it has been a very indifferent time coping with a new place and work, but as they say life moves on ,so have I. Falling down (not literally) and then standing up ..to face this crazy time of life has been the story so far, enough of me now. I have given the title “Singh & Cringe “for this piece of scribbling.”Singh” is for our respected Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh and “Cringe” is for what he did to his opposition in this election. Every one of them cringed their way out, submitting to the SINGH POWER.
I don’t like to quote numbers here indicating the impressive margin with which Congress won under the leadership of Dr.Singh .Now this statement is unusual. I would not say “under the leadership of “Ms.Sonia Gandhi”. Yeah ,I agree she has played the part too, but mostly she has basked in the limelight.
They say Dr.Singh is the weakest PM ever. Nothing can be far from truth than this and I don’t agree with this kind of prevarication. I have my theory to disapprove this overblown crooked lie .He has been publicly vilified by the opposition on his weak governance and attitude, since he took over the office 5 years back for the first time. These statements were all over media, every TV channel conducted talk shows on this, and print media was inundated with articles on the same.
Let me put myself in Dr.Singh’s shoes now .The question is what would I have done in these trying circumstances?. I would be indignant, frustrated with this kind of public lampooning. Most of us (some would disagree, as it hurts one’s self respect) would have been on the verge of giving up.
But we never saw an iota of churlish behavior from Dr.Singh’s side, now that speaks volume about the character of a human being. Strength to me is not meant for public display. It has its own language of communication ,and everyone understands when it roars. I am sure all those naysayers would agree with me now, all those stupid channels (some of them) who were criticizing Dr.Singh were the one’s celebrating his win THE MOST!!!!!!!.NOW THIS IS HOW STRENGTH COMMUNICATES.….
Now comes the second proof,….during his first term ,his allies never missed a chance to hold their cudgels against him.It was during this time, where he stood like rock of Gibraltar ,and the result was Indo-US Nuclear deal. He was fleeced with fears of support withdrawal from his allies, but his copious will won over it.I can go over and over ..but words are too small to describe my respect for the man.
In nut shell Dr.Singh is a man of honor and to me country is in safe hands…I hope sir you live up to our expectations….or else you will have a disappointed follower…
